Actually, I like parabolas best, but ellipses and hyperbolas are good, too.

Good point, good point. He's popular over here for nationalistic reasons. It's so funny -- I saw a comment from the director of a made-for-TV movie that "it was like making Lord of the Rings without a Hollywood studio" and all I could think was "Yeah, that's been done . . ."
Mind you, he is a Wellingtonian. As a staunch Cantabrian (mid-South-Island, east of the Southern Alps) I can only clear my throat grumpily and concede that the Wellingtonians probably score a point for that one.

Peter Jackson's pretty good, but his movies tend to be LONG!
